| Advantages
of on-site training: |
|
|
|
| On-site
courses can be scheduled for your convenience |
| |
It
may be more convenient and economical to have us bring the class
to your plant location. We will bring the course material and our
electrical training equipment to your site. The training can be
held at the time of YOUR choosing - YOU set the schedule.
Classes can be scheduled around shift schedules and vacation times.
It is common to split training seminars into two or more weeks allowing
some employees to attend each week. This allows for a manageable
amount of continuity for normal work activities.
For 2-day seminars training half the students on Monday and Tuesday
and the other half on Thursday and Friday works well.
Training on week-ends is also possible. |
|
| |
|
|
| Lower
training cost |
| |
The
cost of travel and lodging for employees attending distant training
seminars is eliminated. It may cost less to bring our trainer and
training equipment to your site. |
|
| |
|
|
| Courses
can be tailored to your specific equipment |
| |
By
training at your location the course can be customized to include
information on your specific equipment. Field trips to examine and
observe your actual equipment will add relevance and meaning to
the course material. Students gain by getting answers to questions
about your actual equipment. |
|
| |
|
|
| Special
course content and custom programs |
| |
Course
content can also be tailored to best suit the needs of your employees.
Some employees may require basic or introductory electrical or electronics
training while others do not. Developing custom training may be
easier than you think. Many times material can be "pulled together"
from several of our courses to provide you with well targeted training.

for you. |

| Flexible
attendance |
| |
Students
and supervisors can sit in on portions of the course that are of interest. |

Option
1: On Your Facility Property
Class can be held on your facility property. You must furnish the
classroom with tables for the students, 2 tables for use by the
instructor, a white-board with markers, an overhead transparency
projector with screen, and a digital overhead projector.
Option
2: At A Hotel Meeting-Room Near-By
It may be beneficial to hold class at a hotel meeting-room facility
near your plant. This will remove the burden of providing a classroom
from you AND the possibility of a student being temporarily "pulled"
from class is reduced.
Let us know is there is a hotel near-by that you prefer - we will
make all of the arrangements. |
|
|
| Lunch,
Coffee, and Snacks |
| |
We will be
happy to provide lunch, coffee, cold drinks, and snacks for students
during class time. Let us know and we will include the cost in our
proposal for on-site training. |
|
|
| The
cost |
| |
The
cost for on-site training is based on instructor time, travel and
lodging expenses, equipment shipping cost, and student fees for
equipment usage and manuals. On-site training will cost around $6000
to $9000 per week depending on our travel, lodging, shipping expenses,
and the number of students in your the class. One and two-day seminars
will cost less.
The "break-even" point for making the on-site decision
is usually at four to five students (although we have traveled to
train as few as two students). |
|
|
| Terms |
|
| |
We
will require a 50% initial payment including estimated expenses.
This payment is usually $3000 to $4000. The balance is due and payable
at the end of the training seminar. We accept credit cards, company
checks, and wire transfers. Let us know how you would like to make
your payment. |
|
|
| How
to get started |
|
| |
First
Contact
us and request a formal proposal. Let us know the course
or subject you are interested in. If you have specific topics you
would like to cover in training let us know that too. Let us know
the approximate number of students, your location with complete
address, your phone number and/or email address, and when you would
like to begin training. (Three to four weeks is usually a minimum
time required for us to start although we have began some classes
in one week). Let us know if you want to training at your facility
or if we need to make arrangements to train at a hotel banquet facility
nearby.
We can deliver your proposal in any of the following manners:
| -
Email with an attached Microsoft Word document for you to print
(preferred) |
| -
Fax (send us your fax number) |
| -
Mail (slow but sure) |
| -
FedEx (just kidding, this is here for us that remember the days
before faxes) |
Next
Once our proposal is acceptable contact us to setup class dates
and request a payment form or an advance payment invoice (see
above).
Finally
Following receipt of your
payment we will confirm acceptance and class dates. We will need
access to the classroom, for setup, on the day prior to class time.
Most of our classes require a 110 volt outlet, a calculator, and
a multi-meter (analog or digital) for each student. An overhead
transparency projector, a white-board, and two tables at the front
of the classroom for the instructor's equipment and materials will
be required.
